The original Dodge Charger Pursuit is an aggressive, V8-powered hound dog menacing criminals and speeders from Bangor to Burbank. The redesign shows off the new Charger’s meaner grill work and a two-tone getup highlighting the new character lines aft of the front doors.

This new Pursuit edition is getting heavy-duty anti-lock vented disc-brakes, stabilizer bars front-and-rear, and a hot set of 18-inch steel wheels. Keeping the new Charger from Starsky & Hutch-ing too much, the beast’s kept in check with a two-mode Electronic Stability Control designed for high-speed chases. As with the previous generation, the autostick is column-mounted to make room for the big open space where municipalities can mount their equipment.

A cloaked prototype of the redesigned for 2011, Dodge Charger sports sedan was captured on camera by a forum member of “Cheers And Gears” while driving out of the Detroit airport. The spot lights on either side of the windscreen, right above the exterior mirrors, suggest that the car may be testing a police package. While the heavy cladding on this Charger makes it difficult to tell the details, previous spy shots have revealed a new snout with a larger and more pushed out cross-hair grille, reshaped head- and tail lights and more chiseled surfaces throughout the body.

bravo! dodge is on a roll. perfect timing, as ford and chevy are about to introduce new police cars. even more important is an all new civilian version of the magnificent dodge charger. gm, sadly will not offer the upcoming chevrolet caprice to the public at large. i am excited about the soon to be released dodge magnum (durango?) that stunned the masses here yesterday. this after the debut of the handsome jeep grand cherokee for 2011. shortly, we will also see the promising chrysler 300c and a new, never-before 200c.
